Where To Find Towers and Path of Exile 2 Currency Tablets
Towers begin appearing during Act 2 and become more common in the mid-to-late acts and especially during endgame mapping. You'll find them in:
Side Zones: Look for suspicious ruins or elevated platforms.
Map Boss Arenas: Many have hidden or time-sensitive Towers.
Tablets of Power Events: These mini-encounters spawn multiple Towers you must defend or activate under pressure.
Vendor NPCs: Some campaign NPCs offer Tablets or Tower upgrades in exchange for resources.
Each region in Path of Exile 2 may favor different Tower types. For example, coastal regions favor elemental Tablets, while desert ruins tend to have Tablets that boost trap mechanics or mirage effects.
How to Use Towers and Tablets Effectively
1. Rotate Tablet Effects Based on Encounter
You’re not locked into your Tower’s Tablet configuration permanently. Between zones or during town breaks, you can swap out Tablets to better suit upcoming fights.
For bossing, you may want:
Fortitude + Binding + Flame to survive longer while dishing out damage.
For clearing:
Echoes + Reflection + Flame to cause AOE effects that clear packs quickly.
2. Use Tablets as a Build Booster
If you’re playing a trap build, Tower tablets that mimic or duplicate traps (e.g., Echoes or Binding) are incredibly useful. Minion builds benefit from Tablets of Reflection and Fortitude to spawn or heal allies.
3. Combine Duplicate Tablets for Upgrades
If you find multiple Tablets of the same type, you can combine them at special Tablet Fusion Altars found in Act 5+ to create Rare Tablets. Rare Tablets provide superior stats or dual effects — e.g., “Tablet of Radiant Flame: Fire effects deal 50% more damage and ignite enemies for 2s.”
Unlocking the Tower Archive
Once you've found at least 10 different Tablets and activated 5 unique Towers, you unlock access to the Tower Archive, a special system in your hideout or buy POE2 Currency home base.
